Danica Roem, First Trans Person Elected State Legislator
Danica Roem has just made history, becoming the first transgender person State Legislator, and in Virginia! The best part about her win is that she pulled it off, while going up against a huge LGBT HATER! Roem defeated conservative Bob Marshall, who spent time in his position oppressing the LGBT community. He introduced the bill restricting which bathrooms transgender people could use. According to NBC, he was even rude to Danica during his campaign, referring to her as him just to be facetious. Marshall refused to debate Roem and but his did offer his hot take on Roem’s lifestyle.
“Danica clearly is out here doing this for making a marker in the national character that you can engage in this behavior — which clearly goes against the laws of nature and nature’s God — and hold public office to make decisions on behalf of the common good,” Marshall said. “That is what is kind of at stake here.”
Welp! Bye bye Marshall. Congratulations Danica Roem.
