A Shocking Number Of People Are Living With HIV And Don’t Know

December 1, 2017 (tomorrow) is World AIDS day so this study is right on time.

A report for The CDC (Center for Disease Control and Prevention) says 15% of the HIV population doesn’t even know they’re infected with HIV today. This is dangerous, not just for the individual, but for the people they are intimate with, as HIV is transmitted through bodily fluids.  The study also adds that folks who are unaware of their human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection account for approximately 40% of ongoing transmissions in the United States!

That’s staggering and it’s a great time get those HIV test popping if you’ve been slacking! If you’re in ATL (where there is an extremely high percentage of new AIDS cases popping up), you can go get tested with veteran R&B crooners 112 and Yung Joc tomorrow and Saturday.

Good luck and good health folks!
