August Ames Found Dead After Major Internet Backlash

August Ames has been featured in over 290 adult films, and has also won two AVN awards in the past 3 years. The extremely popular 23-year-old film star from Nova Scotia, Canada, was found dead in her home in Camarillo, California on Monday, December 5th.

Her death comes only a few days after she was criticized heavily for saying she refused to do porn with men who have filmed adult scenes with other men. The internet came down on Ames hard for comments many considered to be homophobic, but other fellow adult film stars said it’s all apart of keeping your body safe within the industry.

According to Independent, police have not found any indication of foul play leading to her passing, but they do fear that August may have taken her own life. A cause of death has not been declared, but her last tweet before being discovered may be a devastating clue.

Her husband, film director Kevin Moore, released a statement saying, “She was the kindest person I ever knew and she meant the world to me. Please leave this as a private family matter in this difficult time.”
