Woman Alleges Sexual Assault By KISS Member Gene Simmons
Gene Simmons is just the latest in the entertainment industry to be accused of and sued for sexual assault. But this allegation stems from an incident that reportedly happened just last month.
According to the San Bernardino Sun, a radio and television broadcaster—identified currently only as “Jane Doe”—has accused Simmons of acting inappropriately during an on-camera interview for the opening of his new restaurant last month. The woman alleges that Simmons reached over, grabbed her hand, and then “forcefully placed it on his knee and held it on his knee.”
The KISS bassist is then said to have went on to mention the softness of the woman’s skin, before flicking her in the throat for whatever reason. Following the weirdness of the interview, Simmons and the plaintiff posed for a group photo, and it is then that the woman said the 68-year-old grabbed her butt.
Gene’s camp has not yet responded to these allegations, but the news comes just a month after the musician was banned from Fox News for “sexist [and] wildly inappropriate outburst at their offices.” Simmons responded to those reports shortly after their release saying: “I have appeared frequently over the years on various Fox News and Fox Business programs and have a tremendous amount of respect for the talented women and men who work there. While I believe that what is being reported is highly exaggerated and misleading, I am sincerely sorry that I unintentionally offended members of the Fox team during my visit.”
