SZA Claps Back At Fans Who Complain About Her Cancelling Shows

SZA Isn’t Having It With Fans Accusing Her Of Foul Play

SZA experienced a complete whirlwind success this year after the release of her debut studio album CTRL. Coming into the entertainment industry with such swiftness has to be hard, especially for someone with such a kind-hearted soul like little ole SZA. She’s always been more dedicated to each and every one of her fans that most other artists, and with that dedication may come a sense of entitlement for some listeners.

A couple months back when SZA was on tour, she was forced to postpone a few dates in select cities. There was already backlash when that happened, but now, after rescheduling those dates once, SZA explained that she came down with bronchitis and once again has to move those shows a few weeks forward. Of course, the TDE songstress still has other obligations to tend to while sick, but to onlookers it seems like their favorite artist just cancelled shows for no good reason. The “you don’t seem sick” type comments have been flowing on all of her pictures since this first announcement that she was sick at TDE’s annual Christmas show:

SZA could just ignore all the comments, but if you know Solana, you know she isn’t going to ignore fans–and she’s also taking that chance to set them straight. In one exchange caught by the shade room, she explains why she would still be working even though sick.

This has been a pattern among all of her other pictures, too. On another photo, when one fan commented, “You don’t look sick Sza” she quickly responded with a sarcastic, “lol thx I take pride in that.” It’s not hard to tell that SZA is completely over being questioned on whether or not she’s actually sick.

It’s clear that Solana is just doing her part to make sure that when she does touch down in certain cities to make up shows, that she sounds her best for those paying customers. Unfortunately, some don’t see it that way, but SZA always has the fans’ best interest at heart.
