Tiffany Haddish Talks Avoiding Sexual Harassment

Tiffany Haddish had a huge breakout year in 2017, but it was after many long years of working her way to the top.

Tiffany has been making her rounds through the brutal and not-so-female-friendly world of comedy for years on end, and she acknowledges that as a beautiful woman, she’s no stranger to the creeps that troll the entire entertainment industry.

In a new interview, the comedienne revealed that the occasional creep has come along to try her in the most harassing and assault-ish ways. But as Tiffany tells the New York Times, she’s developed a fix for that:

“I always make fun of the guy. I make it a joke. If they touch me, I say, ‘Take your damn hands off me.’ Most of the time they get scared. I let everyone know I’m a tattletale. That I will snitch. That might be why it took me so long to get where I’m at now.”

It’s messed up that women like Tiffany, just trying to work hard and get their own out here, even have to develop a defense mechanism for that sort of behavior. But great that Tiffany has found a way to maneuver around sexual harassment and not let it derail her dreams.
