Tamera Mowry Recalls Mariah Carey “Fan Girl” Moment

We all know Mariah Carey can be super shady when it comes to acknowledging people, but she apparently was all smiles when it came to a certain host.

Tamera Mowry of “The Real” recently recalled a run-in she had with Mariah at Sunday’s Golden Globes where MiMi was super sweet and gave her a friendly hand-holding greeting.

Tamera Mowry-Housley: I was doing you know an… an interview.

Loni Love: Right.

Tamera: And then I heard all this commotion. All the photographers going, “Mariah… Mariah… Mariah… Mariah!”

[Loni Love laughs]

Tamera: And I was like oh. It was like slow mo. And then I saw her, I was like, “Oh my gosh!” I forgot about the interview.

[The Real hosts laugh]

Tamera: And then when she came by I think she didn’t hear me the first time I said hi. So then I did it again, I was like “Hi Mariah!” [Tamera does waving gesture] And then she was like “Oh, hi gorgeous!” And then she held my hand and I was like, “Oh my God! Oh my God! Oh my God! Oh my!”

[The Real audience cheers]

Tamera: I was like so…

Adrienne Houghton: I was like do the song, I’ll be there. [Adrienne Houghton sings, “I’ll reach out my hand to you.”]

Loni: Because I was afraid when, when you know you just said hi to her…

Tamera: Yeah.

Loni: I thought she was just going to walk on by.

Tamera: Me too!

Loni: But she saw you girl! That feel good don’t it.
