A Hit-And-Run Victim Ends Up Dead At Same Hospital Of Woman Who Hit Her

A nurse in Queens, New York claims she had a “weird feeling” that the ice she struck on her way to work was actually a person, but nonetheless, she never went to the cops — even after her victim died in the hospital she works at. Geum Min has been accused of slamming into a 77-year-old Jum Sim Yim just after 7 a.m. Wednesday on her way to work. She has been charged with leaving the scene of a fatal accident.

Yim was walking home from church when the nurse’s Toyota Corolla hit her, later dragging her body 193 feet, according to prosecutors. Min who works at nearby hospital, and kept driving before clocking in at her job–the same hospital her victim was rushed into by paramedics, and later died.

Min said about the incident, “I got to work and heard about a pedestrian who was coming into the emergency room. I then learned that the pedestrian was hit on Parsons Blvd. and 32nd Ave…I remembered the bump and the thing that got stuck under my car. I had a weird feeling all day that it might have been the pedestrian.”
