Mo’Nique Calls For A Boycott Of Netflix
Mo’Nique’s been quiet for the last few months, but apparently, she’s been taking meetings and lining up opportunities.
However, it looks like things aren’t going exactly to plan. The comedienne revealed on Instagram that she was offered a Netflix special, but at only $500,000…a far cry from the $11 million Amy Schumer received for “The Leather Special” and even further from the $20 million that Chris Rock and Dave Chappelle were offered.
Mo’Nique sees this as gender and color bias, stating that she should be judged off of her resume the same way Amy Schumer was…even though Amy was fresh off of a successful Comedy Central show, had multiple major movie deals, and had sold out a 21,000 seat arena twice.
Either way, she’s calling for us all to boycott Netflix for not offering her what she believes that she is worth…
