Snoop Dogg Joins Colin Kaepernick For A Good Cause

Everybody’s favorite OG, Uncle Snoop, is the latest celebrity to join Colin Kaepernick’s Million Dollar Pledge, and he did so by donating a total of $25,000. Initially, the LBC legend matched his pal Kaepernick’s $10,000 donation to Mothers Against Police Brutality, but later came back and insisted on dropping another $15K.

Colin explained the entire deal in a recent Instagram post saying, “It’s no secret that Uncle @snoopdogg…still finds time to give back to the Community in so many ways. Like a true OG, Uncle Snoop didn’t even flinch when I reached out to him about being part of my #MillionDollarPledge. Snoop and I are each donating $10,000 for a total of $20,000 to Mother’s Against Police Brutality.”

Kaepernick then posted just an hour later announcing that Snoop decided to add even more to his donation, making the pair’s contributions to Mother’s Against Police Brutality–a multi-racial, multi-ethnic coalition uniting mothers nationwide to fight for civil rights, police accountability, and policy reform–a total of $35,000.

The activist first announced the Million Dollar Pledge in September of 2016, and promised that he would help charities that are helping oppressed communities, which is exactly what Kaepernick has continued to do. Steph Curry, Jesse Williams, and Kevin Durant are among the names who have also donated to the Million Dollar Pledge.
