Serena Williams Is Making Her Way Back To Competing Post-Baby

Coming off of a disappointing loss in an exhibition match just last month, new mommy Serena Williams is gearing up to make her return to competitive tennis at the Fed Cup in February.

Serena is going to play alongside her sister, Venus and both will be representing the United States. The sister duo will play their first match against the Netherlands on February 10, when the competition kicks off in Asheville, North Carolina. The Fed Cup is set to be Williams’ first competitive tournament since last year’s Australian Open, which she famously won while she was pregnant, because she’s incredible. Fans were hoping that the superstar would make her official return at 2018’s Australian Open to defend her title, but she stuck with her gut and stated that she didn’t think she was ready for that level of competition yet.

Williams gave birth to her daughter Alexis Olympia back in September, which sidelined the tennis phenom for nearly a year due to her pregnancy. Fans are eager to see the GOAT back in the saddle, especially playing alongside her sister to represent for the USA.
