Gustavo Garces Agreed To Settle With Diddy After His Bodyguards Allegedly Jumped Him

Sean “Diddy” Combs says a paparazzo he settled with last year – after the man claimed his bodyguards jumped him – isn’t abiding by their deal.

Lawyers for the music mogul and his two muscle men filed court papers saying Gustavo Garces hasn’t signed paperwork releasing Diddy, the bodyguards and his insurance company from any liability over the 2011 incident, which was a term of their deal. Diddy said he wants Garces to stop the shenanigans and sign the paperwork ASAP.

Garces sued Diddy and the bodyguards in 2012, claiming the men beat him up on New Years Eve after he snapped pics of Diddy outside the Dream Hotel in Miami. Garces said Diddy also ordered the bodyguards to take his camera, according to court papers.

The case took five years to make its way through the courts, and last August, Diddy agreed to pay Garces $35,000 in exchange for Garces’ agreeing to release him from any liability. The case was then closed.

But Diddy said its been six months and Garces still hasn’t signed the release, because he apparently doesn’t agree with the amount of money that his lawyer will get from the settlement. Diddy said Garces dispute with his lawyer’s fees has nothing to do with him, and he wants Garces to sign so they can move forward.

Diddy’s lawyer will plead his case in front of the judge later this week.
