Twitter Bans Racist Republican Politician

Never. Ever. But ESPECIALLY not during Black history month. Nope.

A Republican congressional candidate named Paul Nehlen has been banned from sharing his thoughts in 280 characters or less after he hit send on a very racist tweet aimed at soon-to-be-royalty Mehgan Markle.

According to NPR, Natural History Museum released photos of “Cheddar Man”, a dark-skinned Mesolithic man who researchers believe is the oldest humans beings in Britain. Nehlen posted a meme of Cheddar Man’s face on Meghan Markle’s engagement photo body with the caption:

“Honey does this tie make my face look pale?”

Twitter spoke about their decision to ban Nehlen for his multiple violations:

“And as we explained in our blog about world leaders on Twitter: We review Tweets by leaders within the political context that defines them, and enforce our rules accordingly,” a Twitter spokesperson told NPR. “No one person’s account drives Twitter’s growth, or influences these decisions. We work hard to remain unbiased with the public interest in mind.”

Zuckerberg better fellow suit when this d!ckhe@d takes his act to Facebook.
