Jill Scott & Estranged Husband Locked In Acrimonious Split

Jill Scott’s estranged ex has warned the singer to stop talking about their divorce on social media – as she may be violating a court order by doing so, BOSSIP has learned.

The “A Long Walk” singer has been prolifically posting to social media recently – including a post over the weekend where she looked inebriated and emotional – and many fans were convinced she used her own tween son to discuss her shock split from her husband of 15 months, Mike Dobson.

The move may violate a judge’s court order that bars both exes from speaking about their divorce on social media, and the husband isn’t taking the move lying down.

Dobson’s legal team sent the singer a strongly worded letter to Scott, warning her not to continue voicing her thoughts on the divorce on social media, and telling her it was “very inappropriate” to use her son as a way of speaking out, a source with knowledge of the situation told BOSSIP.

However Scott has hit back at the claims, saying that people had to stop assuming that her posts about love and loss had nothing to do with her divorce.

“Ya’ll got to stop assuming EVERYTHING is about my divorce,” Scott wrote today. “S**t’s dumb. I’ve NEVER fit in a box; not matter how big it is.”

Scott filed for divorce from Dobson last September, citing “irreconcilable differences” and alleging that it would be dangerous for them to stay together. Dobson countersued Scott, contending she bullied and intimidated him throughout their marriage and was coerced into signing a bad prenup.
