Michelle Obama Will Be In Oakland Later This Month

Michelle Obama is making an appearance at the Oracle Arena in Oakland, California on March 28, and it’s going to be the event of a lifetime.

Titled, An Evening With Michelle Obama, our forever first lady is making her way to the people of Oakland. The appearance is billed as a “moderated conversation,” but at the moment there’s no information on who will interview the former FLOTUS.

Tickets for the talk start at $93.50 and span all the way up to $3,150 for a coveted VIP ticket. According to reports from Page Six, if this19,000-seat capacity arena show sells out completely–which looks like it’s on the road to happening–Obama will reportedly rake in more than $2 million from ticket sales alone.

There was speculation from many sides that Michelle’s upcoming “moderated conversation” is a way of testing the waters for a possible run for president in 2020–but the FLOTUS herself has a different story. She explained last week,  “There are some bright young people out there doing some amazing things…This is why I’m not going to run for president, because I think it’s a better investment to invest in creating thousands of me’s.”

There you go. If you’re in Oakland and want to see the lovely Michelle Obama, you can purchase tickets here.
