Kanye Is Reportedly Opening A Restaurant In Calabasas

According to reports from RadarOnline, Kanye West is planning on opening up his own restaurant in Calabasas.

“Kanye’s shopping for the ideal premises to create a flagship restaurant in Calabasas,” a source told Radar. “He has this vision of creating high-end comfort food just like his mom used to make – but with a price tag that’s as eye-watering as it is mouth-watering, of course.”

Apparently Ye is hoping to follow in the footsteps of collaborator and fellow rapper-turned-restaurateur Nas, who made his mark as a restaurant mogul by opening branches of his fried chicken and cocktail bar Sweet Chick across both coasts.

“The New York locations are hipster havens, and the new LA outlet has become THE place to be seen among Hollywood’s rappers,” the source continued telling the publication. “Kanye watched him build that business practically overnight and it lit a fire under him.”

This venture, if true, wouldn’t be the first time Kanye has taken a shot at the restaurant biz. In 2008, the producer and his food company KW Foods, LLC was able to obtain the rights to open ten Fatburgers around the Chicago area–but the flagship location closed only a year later.
