After over a decade of using the same commenting system, we’ve finally decided to take the leap and update our comments section to something a little hipper and more modern called VUUKLE . For more details, check into the basic FAQ below.
I’M ALREADY SIGNED UP FROM BEFORE, WHAT DO I DO?
Don’t worry, if you’ve already signed up with us in the past, just enter your EMAIL ADDRESS into the new set-up and it’ll figure out your username (or enter them both). From there on just continue to login as you did before. In fact, Vuukle will save/track your new posts much better than the old system, and they even hand out “badges” to users with the most posts, etc… You can see an example of such a profile page HERE.
I DON’T HAVE A USERNAME, WHAT DO I DO?
Very simple, you can either LOGIN using either your Facebook or Google+ credentials (just click on the respective icon below the article) or just create a new username yourself (takes less than 1 minute), by entering said username below and then your email address.
WHAT HAPPENS TO OUR OLD COMMENTS?
As long as you use the same email address to comment as you did on our previous chat system, all of your old comments will be preserved.
EASY ACCESS:
You can easily be transported directly down to the bottom of the article (from the top) by clicking on any of the elements at the top of the page, including the # of comments or even the emoji at the right hand side. Just another way to get your groove on a little faster.
EMOJIS:
Another cool thing is that even if you’re not signed in (or you don’t want to sign up to our site for whatever reason), you can still click on the EMOJIS below each article, in order to give us your overall impression of the story: HAPPY, UNMOVED, AMUSED, EXCITED, ANGRY and SAD. The one with the most votes is shown at the top of the article.
RECOMMEND:
Another “free” option for anyone not signed in, is the RECOMMEND icon, which basically allows you to “recommend” (think LIKE on Facebook) the article. The more people click on RECOMMEND, the higher then number grows at the top of the article, and the greater the chances of the article being recommended to others across the site.
SHARING:
You can also continue to SHARE our articles via the VUUKLE system (you can see the share buttons at the top of each article) so please continue to do that as it helps the site in the long run.
NOTIFICATIONS:
Unlike our previous system, VUUKLE actually allows you to receive notifications via email if someone responds directly to your comment on our site. Don’t worry, you can just as easily TURN THAT OFF (just click unsubscribe at the bottom of the email), but if you wanna know when someone replies to you, now you can! (PS: The notifications are only for direct replies)
