When The Parents Have No Chill

An indoor family theme park in Norridge, Illinois is catching some major heat after adults threw hands right in the middle of onlooking children.

According to CBS Chicago, folks are calling Go Bananas to be shut down after the adult fight went viral on Facebook. The video shows two women hitting each other and a large object being thrown around in the midst of the chaos. At one point, someone even uses as mop as a weapon.

This isn’t the first time some stuff went down at this amusement park either. Hit the next page to watch the viral video, which has gotten over 180,000 views, then find out what other shenanigans went down at the banana place.

Police records say the cops were called to Go Bananas more than 30 times during a 12 month period in 2015 and 2016.

According to CBS Chicago, calls ranged from battery, to theft, to counterfeit currency, to fights.

Back in 2011, the amusement park also made national headlines when a 3-year-old kid slipped out of a ride and died.

Folks in the community, including the Norridge Mayor James Chmura, have been complaining about the venue for years.

Most of the fights went down either inside the 25,000-square-foot arcade center or outside in the parking lot. A lot of altercations involved parents throwing hands in defense of their kids.

Despite the “I’ll fight for my child” attitude, it seems many people have had enough and a petition has been created called “Support the Closure of Go Bananas in Norridge.”

It’s already gotten over 4,000 signatures since it surfaced on Change.org. They call out the Go Bananas owner Jorrold Marks specifically to end the business.

Time will tell if he’ll heed to the community.
