A “Lil Positivity”: Tyra Banks is Giving Away 100,000 Coats

Tyra Banks and some of the ladies from ANTM has teamed up with, clothing brand, Aeropostale to give away 100K coats to underprivileged kids and at risk teenagers across the United States and Canada.

(NEW YORK, NY) — “The Tyra Show” is partnering with Aeropostale for “The 100,000 Coat Giveaway,” where 100,000 brand new winter coats will be handed out to underprivileged children and at risk teenagers across the United States and Canada. Tyra enlisted six former “ANTM” contestants including Toccara Jones, Aminat Ayinde, Lauren Utter, Whitney Thompson, Marvita Washington and Yoanna House to visit select cities including Chicago, New York and Michigan this week to distribute the coats to deserving children.

“Listen, times are tough and every little bit helps these days. For a lot of families a new winter coat just isn’t in the budget this year which is why we decided to pair up with Aeropostale for “The Tyra Show 100,000 coat giveaway,” says Tyra Banks.

“No one looks forward to the cold weather, but especially in cities like Chicago, Michigan and New York the winters are REALLY, REALLY cold, like next-level cold – and as a girl from LA I love the change in seasons but I’m still getting used to the winters in NY. I, along with everyone at the talk show, wanted to ensure that the kids of these cities have warm winter coats to get them through the season. Aero has some fierce fashions this fall and nothing beats a brand new warm jacket on those freezing cold winter days,” Tyra Banks continues, “I’m thrilled my former “America’s Next Top Model” girls are able to be there to surprise everyone for me and hand out the new coats!
