The Hosts For 2019 Golden Globe Awards Are Announced

With only about a month left until next year’s Golden Globe Awards, which are set to be  broadcast live from L.A.’s Beverly Hilton, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association have officially announced next year’s ceremony hosts.

Killing Eve’s leading lady Sandra Oh will stand alongside beloved Brooklyn Nine-Nine star Andy Samberg to co-host the ceremony, which will air on January 6 on NBC.

“Sandra and Andy are the perfect choices to host this world-class event,” Paul Telegdy and George Cheeks, co-chairmen, NBC Entertainment, announced in a statement. “They bring wit, charm, and style to a room filled with the very best of film and television. It’s sure to be another unforgettable fun-filled night.”

The duo was already given a lot of praise on social media for their chemistry when they presented at this year’s Primetime Emmy Awards a few months back.

Sandra Oh is coming off a surprise hit in season one of BBC America’s Killing Eve, for which she serves as executive producer and star. She previously won a Golden Globe back in 2006 for actress in a supporting role in a series for her work on Grey’s Anatomy.

Andy Samberg is a former writer and comedian on Saturday Night Live. He’s now a two-time Golden Globe winner, one for performance by an actor and one as a producer, both on Brooklyn Nine-Nine, which won for best television series, musical or comedy.

Are you looking forward to this duo hosting the awards?!
