Mother Who Police Ripped Away From Toddler In Viral Video Free From Jail
A viral video of a mother being violently separated from her child put Jazmin Headley in the middle of social media outrage. Cellphone footage caught the woman being arrested for “sitting on the floor” while she visited an NYC social service office. Devastatingly, the mom’s son was ripped from her arms by several officers who didn’t exactly explain why she was being arrested on the video.
According to CBS, Headley spent 5 days in Rikers, initially being arrested over the incident but expect to appear in court soon over older fraud charges. Lawyers are asking prosecutors to drop the older charges. Prosecutors decided to drop all charge associated with the social services arrest.
