Netflix Announces “Strong Black Legends” Podcast

Netflix is announcing a new podcast that’s hosted by a familiar, quirky queen. Tracy Clayton formerly of BuzzFeed’s “Another Round” podcast is hosting the first season of the streaming service’s “Strong Black Legends” podcast.

Launching on February 12, during Black History Month, the podcast honors black stars whose works have made an impact on Hollywood and Black entertainment culture.

Each Tuesday Tracy interviews the “Legends” and unearths untold stories from their career-defining moments while giving them their flowers—literally.

Season 1 guests include Lynn Whitfield,  Academy Award nominee Ruth E. Carter (Black Panther, Do The Right Thing, Dolemite is My Name), Garrett Morris (first black actor on SNL, Martin, The Jamie Foxx Show), Loretta Devine, John Witherspoon and Bill Duke (High Flying Bird, Sister Act 2) with more surprises to come.
