R. Kelly Charged With Aggravated Criminal Sex Abuse

R. Kelly’s day of reckoning may soon come, and we’re HAPPY PEOPLE.

The Chicago Sun-Times reports that the singer’s been charged with 10 counts of aggravated criminal sex abuse. Each charge carries a max sentence of 3 to 7 years in prison.

The news comes after two new women came forward Thursday to accuse him of trying to coerce them into group sex when they were 16. The women are represented by famed lawyer Gloria Allred and one of them provided “physical evidence.”

This coincides with a report that there was another tape of Kelly allegedly raping a 14-year-old girl. Attorney Michael Avenatti turned in the 42-minute-and-45-second VHS tape to a grand jury. On it, Robert’s said to have engaged in multiple graphic sex acts with the teen girl including urination.

***UPDATE***

Jocelyn Savage’s family has released a statement on R. Kelly’s charges.

Their attorney Gerald Griggs says;

“After two years of extensive work, investigation, and a lot of prayer, my clients are hopeful that the recent charges against Robert Sylvester Kelly will lead to justice. We are ready to travel to Chicago to reunite the Savage family with Joycelyn Savage.”
“More than two years ago when the Savage family first approached me about this case, I quickly recognized that multiple crimes were committed. I’ve repeatedly asked law enforcement to investigate this case and provided evidence directly linked to Robert Kelly.
Today, a Grand Jury found the evidence we provided was sufficient for trial. We knew eventually that this day would come. We are hopeful now that with an indictment and the arrest of Mr. Kelly that Joycelyn Savage will soon be reunited with her family.”
The Cook County State’s Attorney held a press conference on Kelly’s charges. She’s since released this statement:
