Texas Woman Allegedly Let Man Sexually Assault Daughter For $400

A Texas woman was recently arrested for a disgusting act that she allegedly let happen for cash. The Odessa American reports that police took Shirley Harmon, 36, into custody on an aggravated sexual assault of a child charge.

Police say Harmon was paid $400 by a 62-year-old man to sexually assault her 5-year-old daughter. She was also charged with endangering a child, a second-degree felony, after authorities say she failed to report Gary Landreth, 62, for his alleged actions.

The American adds that a forensic interview was conducted on the 5-year-old girl where she stated Landreth had touched her inappropriately and an exam was performed showing results consistent with sexual assault.

Harmon reportedly admitted to investigators that her daughter told her she was touched inappropriately between 2017 and 2019. Harmon also reportedly admitted to receiving $400 to allow the man access to the girl.

Gary Landreth was charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child.
