R. Kelly Denies Changing Venue For Azriel Clary’s Family Meeting

Word on the street was that R. Kelly put a banana in the tailpipe of an agreed upon meeting between his alleged “sex slave” Azriel Clary and her family who she hasn’t seen in years.

According to TMZ, Azriel was set to meet with her parent this past Saturday but at the last minute, Azriel wanted to change the venue. She is said to have asked that the meeting take place at Trump Tower where R. Kelly lives as opposed to the previously agreed upon location.

The thinking was that if there was a media circus surrounding the meeting then having it at Trump Tower would limit access to the press trying to cover the story.

Initial reports stated that it was really R. Kelly who asked for the venue change and wanted his security detail present, but his lawyer Steve Greenberg denies that Robert had anything to do with it. Let him tell it, the whole thing was Azriel’s idea.

In either case, once the Clary family learned of the change they immediately pulled the plug.

Michael Avenatti — who reps Azriel’s family in this matter — tells TMZ … “On Friday, R Kelly’s camp tried to abruptly change the terms of the meeting at which time my clients and I decided not to participate because the terms were not acceptable. We are now attempting to reschedule the meeting on agreeable terms so my clients can see their daughter.”

Not-so-ironically, a meeting between Jocelyn Savage and her family was set-up and canceled in this exact same way. Last minute venue change.

But of COURSE, R. Kelly had nothing to do with that either…*HARD eye-roll*
