Tasha Smith On TV One’s ‘Uncensored’

Tasha Smith has managed to do something that most actresses aspire to do, but haven’t been able to —and that’s forge her own lane in this fickle Entertainment industry. Her distinct voice and personable persona has made Tasha a cult favorite of sorts. And somehow, she still manages to drop a little bit of herself in every single role she plays. But things haven’t always been rainbows and butterflies for Ms. Smith.

In a recent episode of TV One’s ‘Uncensored’ the ‘Why Did I Get Married’ star revealed that she was also a stripper at the time she was trying to get her comedy career popping in NYC. She shared,

“When I was in New York trying to do my comedy, a lot of people didn’t know that that was the time I was stripping because I needed to make some money. I was like ‘I’m not getting paid at all to do comedy, so I need to make some money.’ I would go from the strip club to the comedy club. And it’s funny because whenever I would do private dances, I would tell jokes. I got away with a lot.”
