Russell Westbrook’s Historic Stat Line Was To Honor Nipsey Hussle

The death of Nipsey Hussle will be heavy on the hearts and minds of millions for a long time to come. One of those who was personally affected by Nip’s murder is NBA baller Russell Westbrook.

Russy is a Los Angeles native and had a long friendship with Nipsey that goes back years.

Last night, to honor his fallen brother, Russell Westbrook put up the second ever “double triple-double” in NBA history. The only other person to have a 20-point, 20-assist, 20-rebound game is Wilt Chamberlain back in 1968.

After the game, Russy made it very clear that he was working with intention tonight as a show of respect to Nipsey and gang he claimed proudly, The Rollin’ 60s Crips. Hence, the 20-20-20.
