She Explains The Disturbing Details Of The Case In A Tear-Filled Confession

We’re definitely not in Smallville anymore.

The beloved show that follows a young Superman gained a major following in the 2000s thanks to its coming-of-age drama and love triangles between Clark Kent, Lana Lang and Chloe Sullivan.

Now, the actress who played Chloe, Allison Mack, has gone over the edge due to her former allegiance to a cult-like group known as Nxivm (pronounced NEX-ee-um). According to The New York Times, her disturbing involvement caused her to be booked on racketeering and racketeering conspiracy charges, which she pled guilty to on Monday.

Nxivm was an Albany-based group led by Keith Raniere, and they billed themselves as a self-help organization that offered workshops and classes for greater self-fulfillment.

However, according to federal prosecutors, Mack got so involved in the group that she started recruiting other women into a secret sect within Nxivm where women were branded with Raniere’s initials and were forced to have sex with him. Mack said she initially joined Nxivm to “find purpose” but then got lost in the sauce.

Like DEEP in the sauce.

In a tearful confession to the Federal District Court in Brooklyn, Mack said she would lure women into Nxivm where they were extorted and coerced into following Raniere’s orders. As a prerequisite to getting more involved in the group, women had to provide damning information about themselves, which would be potentially released if they told anyone about the secret sect. Some women even offered up explicit photos and videos along with rights to their properties, according to Mack’s confession.

They were essentially being groomed as sexual partners for Raniere, 58, in a process called D.O.S., which is an acronym for a Latin phrase roughly translated to “Lord/Master of the Obedient Female Companions,” court papers said. Some actresses and female journalists said Mack tried to get them to join her “women’s group” too.

Mack was arrested last year on the racketeering charges as well as sex trafficking, conspiracy to commit sex trafficking, and forced labor. Mack’s arrest was apart of a larger federal case targeting high-ranking members of Nxivm, including Raniere and four others.

“I must take full responsibility for my conduct,” Mack told the court, saying she was able to recruit women by telling them they were becoming members of a female mentorship program.

Smh.

Mack faces up to 20 years in prison on each count in which she pleaded guilty. She will receive her sentence in September. Raniere pled not guilty to sex trafficking and forced labor charges, according to CNN.

The remaining defendants in the case are scheduled to begin trial later this month.
