Passengers Save A Visually Impaired Man Who Fell Into The Metro Tracks

It’s always nice to witness heroism in action, especially in our nation’s capital and the surrounding areas.

According to NBC Washington, one blind man was lent a life-saving hand from Metro passengers who noticed he fell in the train tracks.

A Metro security camera captured the scene at the Medical Center station in Maryland. Last Tuesday, the man was using his walker to find his way around the platform. He gets closer and closer to the edge of the tracks, and right when it seems he’s about to move away, he falls into the tracks.

He manages to stand up, and a nearby passenger eventually notices that he fell. They run to the edge of the tracks and eventually try to get help while someone else tries to pull the man onto the platform. At first, it’s just them making the effort, but more people come to assist with the rescue moments before a train arrives.

Metro says the man was taken to the hospital to get checked out. He suffered minor injuries that weren’t life-threatening.

You can watch the heroic feat for yourself below!
