Mueller Report Released

Mueller said what he said.

The “full” Mueller report has finally been released to the public and in it, the Special Counsel says there will be no criminal charges against Cheeto In Chief—but Mueller stops short of saying Trumplethinskin was cleared on obstruction charges.

“If we had confidence after a thorough investigation of the facts that the President clearly did not commit obstruction of justice, we would state so,” wrote Mueller. “Based on the facts and applicable legal standards, however, we are unable to reach that judgment. Accordingly, while this report does not conclude that the President committed a crime, it also does not exonerate him.”

The very MUCH redacted report was published just an hour after attorney general Bill Barr said the piss poor POTUS was cleared.

The entire document is 448-pages long; 207 pages on collusion and 241 on obstruction. As far as alleged collusion goes, Mueller wrote that there wasn’t substantial evidence to support campaign finance violations.

Ultimately, Mueller wrote;

“While the investigation identified numerous links between individuals with ties to the Russian government and individuals associated with the Trump campaign, the evidence was not sufficient to support criminal charges.”

He also added that he struggled to gather evidence surrounding alleged Russian interference because several witnesses including some “associated with the Trump campaign” invoked the Fifth Amendment, deleted messages that couldn’t be recovered and ultimately lied.

Convenient.

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi released a statement Thursday morning calling for Mueller to provide public testimony in the House and Senate as soon as possible.
