Teen Suffers Brain Injury While Attempting To Take Gun Selfie
A Texas teen was severely injured after he tried to take a selfie while holding a gun. According to reports, the firearm went off, sending pieces of glass and metal into his face and brain.
FOXSanAntonio reports:
The accident happened just after 11 p.m. Monday on Shasta Avenue near Pleasant Road on the South Side.
Police said the 16-year-old was playing with a loaded 9mm gun and taking pictures when he shot the phone causing the glass and shrapnel to hit his eye and face.
Police are still investigating, but the good news is the teen is in stable condition, although the shards penetrated his brain.
