Woman Charged After Scamming Elderly Man Out Of $5K

A 25-year-old woman is facing more than 27 years in prison after she scammed an ELDERLY MAN out of $5,000. To top that off, when he asked for his money back, she tried to intimidate him by revealing she’d secretly recorded him as he performed oral sex on her. Wow.

Shatarra Rodgers, of Brown Deer, met the 78-year-old New Berlin man at an assisted-living facility where she worked and the man’s wife lived prior to her death late last year.

Rodgers, who worked as a residential assistant at the Heritage at Deer Creek facility in New Berlin, regularly met with the man when he visited his wife, according to a criminal complaint obtained by the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel.

The man admitted giving Rodgers, 25, food and money for gas during his visits, but eventually noticed large sums of money missing from his bank account that were withdrawn via checks.

Rodgers then told the man ‘I needed it’ when he confronted her about a $900 check. Rodgers later sent him a cellphone video of the man performing oral sex on her when he demanded that the cash be returned, according to the criminal complaint.

Shatarra was out here doing the most with his money, too, until being arrested on April 16. She reportedly paid a bail bond fee for an outstanding warrant, she paid her rent, went to the SPA, made purchases on Amazon, and MORE.

“Rodgers is now facing charges of identity theft for financial gain, theft of movable property and capturing an intimate representation without consent,” the NYPost states. “If convicted on all counts, she faces more than 27 years in prison. She’s also facing felony bail jumping charges from an earlier identity theft case, the Journal Sentinel reports.”
