Tyrique Hudson Killed By White Neighbor After Judge Denies Protection

This story is going to make you very, very angry.

Tyrique “TJ” Hudson was a brilliant young brotha who graduated from North Carolina A&T State University in 2 1/2 years with a computer science degree according to CaptialGazette.

Following his graduation, Hudson landed a job interview with the high-profile aerospace and technology company Northrop Grumman. Being so young and so impressive, the company took him to dinner and offered him a job on the spot. Said his father:

“You have people in their 40s that never get there.”

Clearly, TJ was on his way to a successful career in a field that he was excited about. We should all be so lucky.

On Monday, April 15, 2019, Tyrique “TJ” Hudson was shot dead by his 53-year-old white neighbor James Verombeck who police found standing over his body. Two months before his murder, TJ applied for court-ordered protection, a request that a District Court Judge denied citing that the request didn’t meet the burden of proof.

On February 16, TJ filed his application with the court and reported that the neighbor randomly made a throat-slitting gesture, three days later, the peace order was denied.

People who knew TJ can’t fathom how this happened because TJ was not a fighter by any means.

“TJ was this humble little spirit,” said Candice Winstead-Holden, a lifelong friend of Hudson’s mother who helped raise him. “TJ would never go back and forth with somebody. He was the type that gets away from trouble, gets away from that type of thing.”

Rest in peace to Tyrique Hudson.

Eternal damnation and torture for James Verombeck who has been charged with first-degree murder.
