It was only a matter of time before this was going to happen, considering all the parties involved. Erica Mena, Safaree and Nicki Minaj were all destined for some sort of Internet drama and we’re surprised it hasn’t happened sooner. On a Hot 97 interview with Nessa, Erica Mena had to answer some questions about if she listened or liked Safaree’s ex’s music.
Here’s what Erica had to say:
“Honestly I grew up on Lil Kim so heavy, that when [Nicki Minaj] came out, I was like ‘ugh she’s biting my girl.’ It just was what it was,” she said.
“Nicki’s still great,” Nessa replied.
“She is, I’ve just never been drawn to it,” Erica responded. “It was always just cartoon-y and stuff. She’s great at what she does, but me personally…if it’s in the club and you’re nice. But I would never…I don’t know the words.”
