Gunman Identified In UNC-Charlotte Shooting

Police have identified the gunman in a deadly shooting at a college campus. As previously reported six people were shot at North Carolina-Charlotte Tuesday evening leaving two killed and four wounded.

Now the suspect has been identified.

WBTV reports that a 22-year-old student allegedly confessed to gunning down the victims.

Trystan Terrell now faces two counts of murder, four counts of attempted murder, four counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, possession of a firearm on educational property, and discharging a firearm on educational property.

The news station adds that Terrell had withdrawn from all but one class for the spring semester and that it was the one remaining class — Anthropology — that he targeted late Tuesday afternoon. Students were reportedly in the middle of the presentations when the gunman opened fire.

Luckily, he was apprehended quickly because officers were on the scene for a Waka Flocka concert that night.

Local media adds that Terrell smiled as he was apprehended by authorities.

We’re still praying for families affected by the UNC-Charlotte shooting.
