Denver votes to decriminalize psilocybin mushrooms for growth and use
Let’s Take A Trip: Denver Voted To Become First U.S. City To Decriminalize Psilocybin Mushrooms
Denver Decriminalized Magic Mushrooms
We used to hear “Denver” and think snow and skiing, but now when we hear “Denver” we think smoke and seeing things.
According to NPR, Colorado’s kush-friendly capitol is now a place where psilocybin aka “magic mushrooms” has now been decriminalized.
That’s right, you can now get high as giraffe a$$ within Denver city limits without fear of being arrested.
The action doesn’t legalize psilocybin mushrooms, but it effectively bars the city from prosecuting or arresting adults 21 or older who possess them. In the ballot language, adults can even grow the fungus for personal use and be considered a low priority for Denver police. The changes could take effect as soon as next year.
Ordinance 301 BARELY passed the city’s vote with a 50.56% “majority”. The fact of the matter is that the American people are getting to a place where they want to explore alternate forms of medicine for the many, many things that ail us. You can safely assume that the cost of healthcare in the U.S. is at least a small part of the change in society’s views.
