Lee Daniels Says He’s Fighting For “Star”

After “Star” was unceremoniously canceled by Fox, Lee Daniels is fighting for his series.

The show’s co-creator took to Instagram Tuesday night to give an update on the show that was cut short after three seasons. According to Lee, he’s still shopping it around, so all hope isn’t lost.

“Fighting guys! Will know this week… or top of next! 💫💫.” Daniels wrote next to a clip from the series. “I’m NOT letting them STOP the CULTURE.. SORRY!!”

Deadline reports that “Star” had been shopped to a number of outlets, including BET and OWN. They add that things could pan out for Lee’s show—but they’re calling it a “long shot.”

” I hear there is potential new suitor for the show. It is considered a Hail Mary pass and a long shot at best but a possibility as Daniels alluded to,” wrote Deadline’s Nellie Andreeva.

Do YOU think “Star” should be picked up by another network?
