Scarface Says He Wants To Run For Mayor, Governor & President

Scarface is entering the world of politics and he seems to have longterm goals.

Earlier this month, the Houston rapper and Geto Boys member announced that he was running for Houston City Council for District D.

Now, in a talk with Fader, Scarface (running as Brad Jordan), talked more about why he got into politics and his plans for the future.

He says he’s been thinking of running for Houston City Council since 2017, and he hopes it will be a pathway to a mayoral run, gubernatorial run, and eventually a presidential run.

“I wanna take it upon myself to fix the situation. I think I have some new, fresh ideas. I think that the traditional way of doing politics is over now,” he said. “Let’s come up with some real solutions. Let’s serve the underserved. That’s where I’m at right now.”

The issues Jordan is running on include making the neighborhood safer for everyone (particularly the elderly), getting rid of illegal dumping, and offering trade opportunities to young people that may not go to college so they can obtain a livable wage.

In the interview, Jordan also revealed that he didn’t vote in the 2016 presidential elections:

“I didn’t have a candidate that I wanted to get behind. My candidate was out of the race.”

Jordan also talked about his relationship with Geto Boys group-mate Bushwick Bill, who passed this month.

“We never had a bad relationship, we just bumped heads like rams. But all in all, we were alright. Him passing, as sad as it is, that’s just something we have to look forward to in life. We’re not gonna live forever. I was blessed enough to know that little dude,” he said. “A brilliant little soul. He was smart, and he was very difficult to deal with. He was extremely set in his ways, and you had to respect Bill. We gon’ miss him.”
