True or False: Mary J. Blige And Kendu Punch-Drunk Love?

- By Bossip Staff

Was Kendu Isaacs missing in action from wife Mary J. Blige’s record release party because she had him removed after clobbering him in the face? Snitches are saying the Queen of Hip-Hop Soul dared her hubby to “Chris Brown” her after she bloodied his face for disrespecting her. Get the 411 under the hood.

Mary J. Blige punched husband Kendu Isaacs in the face at her record release party at club M2 Tuesday night. The singer slugged Isaacs, drawing blood, after she thought he was flirting with a waitress.

“She turned to him and was screaming, ‘You’re not going to ruin my night,’ ” our witness says. “They got up in each other’s faces before someone tried to separate them, at which point she shoved the guy aside, pulled back and popped [Isaacs] in the face.”

The source said Blige, Isaacs and their entourage were whisked through a door to the attached club Pink, which was closed. Our witness relates, “She was yelling at him, ‘What are you gonna do, Chris Brown me?’ Four of her bodyguards and two of the club’s kept them apart.”

Isaacs was kicked out. Blige went to the bathroom to fix her hair and makeup, but soon fled, creating an uncomfortable scene for partygoers Jay-Z, Beyoncé and Busta Rhymes.

Her rep said only, “People lie and don’t know what they’re talking about.”

Hey Mary, “Someone Please call 911!” sounds like you’re gonna be back to singing them sad songs again.

I heard this this morning on the radio, so I may have to believe this one.

I guess he was giving the waitress a little too much attention or something so she slapped him and told him that he better not try to pull a Chris Brown on her, either. LOL

    SMH

And why in the f*ck do these men f*ck with the waitresses??? I am surely in the wrong profession.

Go head Mary! Put that dude in his place, cuz last I checked, he was piggybacking. Ah…..her manager?? Sure-sure.

Kendu has had a roving eye for quite some time. I’ve heard this about him before. It’s sad when a sista pulls him UP, gives him access to her wealth, her career trying to make him her equal, and then he uses the power that he only has because of her, against her.

Mary has really tried to make this marriage work, and I love her for that. She has remained silent and continued to big up him for so long, even though she KNOWS he’s a dog.

This is why women are always yelling about not needing a man (even though it’s not true). Women are tired of being hurt and cheated on and lied to and DUMPED for the “next best thing.”

  • frankiestage

“Do you.” Is that the new generic phrase to cover all stupid behavior?

    @VA:

It was my comment, love. And it was all in light humor. I LOVE Mary! I wouldnt have slapped him, but I definitely would have put him in his place. 🙂

  • Tara (Rebel to the Madness...)

And I have read another story about this (supposed) incident; it explained about Mary J. Blige’s brother being kicked out of the party by her spouse Kendu. So she got upset and punched Kendu.

Anyways, like I had mentioned in my above comment, Mary J. Blige should know better. As I was growing up and listening to her music (especially in the 1990s), she always seemed to want to carry herself in a better light. ::sigh::

I think something is wrong with Mary J, mentally. Like really she never has been sound minded.

I see females on here typing that he got what he deserved. Now violence is ok? When C-Breezy jumped on Rhi-Rhi there was “no excuse” for violence. *smh* Women are terrorists…

  • 4 REAL

But VIOLENCE is VIOLENCE, right? NO matter how mad someone gets you. Where are the repercussions? All I read is “high-fiving” and “do you”.

Like I said before…it’s OPEN SEASON ON BLACK MEN. Ladies, sit your sons, nephews, brothers down and advise them the best way you know how about how to handle themselves in situations. No one in this country will come to their defense or really cares about their well-being, just punishing them more harshly.

“Hey, the more drama SHE has, the better her albums are!”

I hate to say it, but it’s true. I think there’s a marked difference between music from a “Sad” Mary versus “Happy” Mary. The “Sad” Mary makes you feel as if she’s speaking directly to you when you’re crying over a heartbreak. I believe she recorded “My Life” during one of the most turbulent periods of her life, and it’s still one of my favorites from her.

I think in recent years, MJB has appeared to be at her most content, but part of me has always thought that she still struggled with her self-esteem.

  • uptowngirl

    I agree with
    a) never liked Kendu. look shady as a mother.
    b) sometimes you have to get “ghetto” and take it there. let a motherf.u.k.e.r know what’s really good.

a good tussle ain’t never hurt nobody. (just jokes)

  • Ms. J

I love Mary J., but punching your husband because he flirted with another woman??? Poor choice of actions…. They are too dayum grown for this stupidity.
