Bey Bey sure is one hard workin’ heffah:

Nintendo has sent word that it has entered into a partnership with well known singer and public person Beyonce Knowles aimed at bringing a variety of designs from her Dereon clothing line into the Nintendo DS videogames Style Savvy. It’s not clear exactly when fans of the diva will be able to download the designs.

Beyonce herself has been quoted as saying about Style Savvy that “I love that I get to become a stylist and take over my own boutique, and it’s so much fun to see some of my Dereon designs added to the mix.” In recent times, Nintendo has appealed to a host of female celebrities in the West to promote the Nintendo DS handheld and titles for it.

A recent survey shows that, somewhat surprisingly, the PlayStation Portable is the gaming console with the biggest female player base. The Nintendo DS is, however, the fastest growing handheld at the moment and women players are a segment of the market crucial to the Japanese game developer.

Beyonce is set to do two television spots related to Style Savvy, which will be appearing on Nickelodeon and will be debuting at the Kid’s Choice Awards, one of the most watched events presented by the channel. In 2009, the singer also appeared in an advertising campaign showing her practicing for the game with another player for Rhythm Heaven, a music title for the Nintendo DS. The company says that “Beyonce’s upcoming promotional efforts and downloadable Dereon designs are set to sustain the game’s momentum well into 2010.”

Good for her, but House of Deredookie and style shouldn’t be in the same sentence….
