In Case You Missed It: Michael Jackson Grammys Tribute

- By Bossip Staff

If you missed the Grammys last night, then you missed the 3-D tribute to Michael Jackson. Celine Dion, Jennifer Hudson, Smokey Robinson, Usher and Carrie Underwood all performed MJ’s “Earth Song.” According to Prince and Paris speech, if their father was still living, he would have performed last night.

Jackson’s kids came on stage to accept their father’s award along with their cousins. It’s nice to see that these kids are able to have somewhat of a normal childhood.

Such well behaved children…Live Forever MJ!!!

J-hud’s voice was amazing,Celine Dion killing it as usual & Carrie Underwood sounded great too. Usher disappointed me. I loved how MJ son spoke so well & mature.Paris sounded sweet & seemed shy.

  • Fizzoni

None of the singers could top MJ’s voice except

That’s f-up Michael had to die to get a tribute. America so hypocritical in that way, we only appreciate someone after they’re dead..So, the Grammy’s can stick their tribute up their @ss!

  • Hannibal

  • Msholliday

Gotta respect the fact that his kids were the only ones to thank God all night

Jhud had the strongest voice there. That song isn’t the easiest song to sing. I was expecting a whole lot more from this tribute and i’m still waiting for a really special tribute. Maybe if Jermaine’s tribute concert takes place we will finally have something to talk about but it’s Jermaine so i’m not putting my head on a block and sit around and wait for it.

I really wish those kids looked more like Michael. Blanket definitely has his big bright eyes.

    Love you MJ ♥

  • Tiffany Drake

I loved it but I thought it could have been bigger. I just feel like Michael deserved more than that. But it was nice.

  • RoyBoy

The tribute was great. It could’ve been better but it was good.

His children are so adorable and well groomed.

You can tell how they talk about Michael that he cared for them SO much.

Prince was very mature and well spoken. Paris was as well but seemed a little shy which is totally understandable.

Those are Michael’s children… They all have his eyes and Prince and Blanket has Mike’s old nose when he was younger.

  • daahlingnikki

Sadly I must agree with Hannibal…Even though J-Hud and Celine held their own but Usher was disappointing…It was nice to see Prince and Paris again…and it showed that no matter what the world thought about MJ…he was obviously an excellent daddy and those kids love and miss him enormously…Made me tear up when he was speaking…

  • B3 Fearless

I got a little teary eyed as well. I wish there had been more, but it was a nice tribute.

Blanket definitely looks the most like his father.

The kids were very well mannered and articulate. MJ obviously did a good job.

  • B3 Fearless

Idk what Usher was doing? I also think he 4got the words and I had to keep from laughing when he got on his knees. I was like, “Come on Ush. What are you doing?!”

  • lala

I loved the tribute. Better than some of the ones I saw, like Janet’s, ugh. Usher I expected better, everyone else was great. What exactly are you guys looking for in a tribute? It was great what more do you want, for all the singers in the world to sing every last song he ever wrote? I wish it was longer but other than that it was great, stop whining.

  • Taisha from Chicago!

The children look great and sound like they are being well taken care of and getting all the emotional support they need from their family, but it’s still sad that Michael hated himself so much that he had no BIOLOGICAL children of his own.

  • Jazz

The kids looked and did Great. I’m proud of them.

The tribute was Nice but that damn 3D thing hurt my eyes I had a headache all night.

Anyways you can tell MJ did a good job on his kids. Their mature and extremely well mannered. Paris is so sweet and prince is such a mature young man. I wish all 3 of them well.

    R.I.P MJ!

  • Slide Like A Fresh Pair of Gators

Damn shame Michael isn’t the Biological Father… Them kids are WHITE and don’t look like they have any BLACK in them whatsoever…

Regardless, he raised them and they call him Daddy… They seem like good kids and I like them 🙂

    WRONG!!! Ask Maury…

The oldest one looks like he’s kin to that wizard… Ummm, Harry Potter…

The daughter is 110% white without a doubt and looks just like that wench Debbie Rowe and the little one, he’s precious & innocent and I can’t call it, but he don’t no Jackson in him either… SMH

They were raised in a loving home and that’s all that matters…

But Michael is NOT the father of those children… God bless his soul and may he rest in peace…

  • Gimmeabreak78

JHud’s voice is amazing! I wish the the tribute was longer. It looked terrible if you weren’t wearing 3D glasses to me.

  • Love

It was a beautiful tribute and His kids did a great job. I’m really starting to like them they seem so mature and sweet. I agree with those who say he did a great job with raising them.

Lmao! I agree. The jacksons been feeding them that soul food. They livin good. LOL!

  • darealwifey

The tribute was okay. That was one of my fav MJ songs they did. Anyway, the kids are cute, and that little one, especially is MJ all day. He looks JUST LIKE Mike. I also think the other kids resemble Mike a little, but not like that little one. The little one is mos’ def’ Little Mike. That’s MJ’s blood right there.

  • Love

People need to let the paternity ish GO NOW. If they his they his, if there not so what? He loved them and cared for them.

I’d rather live in a house with a parent who loves me and cares for me but are not my biological parent. Then to be abused and mistreated by my own flesh and blood.

You… know how MICHAEL was treated himself as a child. SMH

Michael was the greatest to ever do it, he paved the way and wrote the manuscript for all these fools. He pioneered in marketing for musicians and set the standards for great performances. DAMN RIGHT he deserved better. Any one worried about his childrens parentage should go and figure out how to leave your children with half a BILLION dollars biological or otherwise.

  • Tam Tam

They did an amazing job! Michael would be proud!
