Damn, everybody is trying to cash in on Drizzy’s popularity. We released the new Olivia single “Control” which “featured” Drake on the track yesterday. Unfortunately, Drake was unaware that he was on a track with Olivia and wasn’t too thrilled.
Pop the top for the details and Olivia’s team’s reaction. Drake says:
I support artist collaborations and sampling music that inspires you but I don’t support taking unauthorized recordings and marketing them as features. I’ve never worked with Olivia and I apologize to any fan who was duped into thinking that Control was a collaboration of mine.
Olivia’s team replied stating that they never promoted Olivia to have worked with Drake:
Olivia never said she worked with Drake, Although we do think Drake is an incredible artist the record was sent to us the same way it was presented. The record is on a mixtape and is not on the album. This was stated from the beginning. The record was leaked and never officially released.
We can’t call it but seems like someone tried to block someone’s shine and started throwing shade. Ouch!
