Thank God…he shoulda never been locked up! This man is a living legend. What musician do we know that is still alive and doin the damn thang since 60’s? Where was Oprah or Bill Cosby when this brother needed some help?

  • B3 Fearless

I’m glad but I hope he puts out more cla.s.s.ic sounding music out this time. I think the “newest” song of his that I liked was “Contagious.” How long ago was that?

  • Bored-with-it-all

Contagious is still the ish, it’s on my playlist

Why bother making a musical comeback this industry is only interested in advancing garbage,at least for the black artists, that’s why Monica’s album was hard to find, this industry aint about ish right now, Ronald better find another way to make some money

  • yeahyeah

I’m happy he is out I am a life long fan, I hope he get real accountants to help him make sure all his bills are paid so this won’t happen again.

This man went to jail for not only tax evasion but also fraud. He was cashing royalty checks that were payable to his dead brother’s estate. Plain and simple Ron was a thief. Love his music but a criminal is a criminal. Oprah nor Bill should have ran to his rescue.

  • chaka1

Oh…I am listen to Ron Isley and Keith Sweat right now: “Come with me, to a place where no love has gone before…”

Being a great artist, doesn’t make one a great human being.

A gret engineer or a great lawyer who was defratuding the estate of an ex-partner in a firm wouldn’t ge t hell of a lot of sympathy from most people.

Having a great voice shouldn’t entitle a man to it either — and tax fraud is such a DUMB crime — so many clever ways to LEGALLY write off or offset income through losses.

Too trifling to even seek the advice of a clever accountant.

(damn, excuse the spelling, but I think you get my point)

  • Unbought_and_Unafraid

    defrauding !!!

He sounds selfish. Hope he decides to give back to others. He has/had millions, instead of hoarding it, hope he gives to others. The Isley’s are one of my all time favorite groups, though.

    Good for him!

ALL PRAISE IS UE TO ALLAH, I’m glad the brother is out, Tax Evasion is just code for the man wanting his take, white people get it trouble for the samething and nothing happens Willie Nelson did not go to prison,Zsa Zsa Gabor did not go to prison, were not even suppose to pay taxes, there has always been 2 standards in America 1 black, and 1 white. Now RUNTELLTHAT.
