Another Day Another Reality Show

Lala Vazquez is soooooo not slick… We had a feeling the staged-looking dress shopping, bachelorette parties and lunches with Ciara were all part of some kind of reality series. Turns out her and Carmelo’s wedding (and all the planning beforehand) will be televised. Pop the hood for details

VH1 signed La La to a five-part series about her and Carmelo’s upcoming wedding which will showcase all the planning and festivities leading up to their big day. The series kicks off with La La meeting with A-list wedding planner to the stars Mindy Weiss and follows La La through all her wedding stuff — shopping for the perfect designer wedding dress, picking the wedding venue, choosing the wedding cake and menu, planning their honeymoon, etc… And of course viewers will also get “a glimpse” at La La’s bachelorette party hosted by her “famous friends” in Las Vegas. If that’s too vapid for you, the show will also show Lala work to juggle the wedding planning with motherhood, time with friends and family and keeping up with her career. The series will culminate in a one-hour lavish celebrity-filled wedding finale in New York.

“From Charm School to the many reunion specials, I have loved being part of the VH1 family” says La La, “and I’m even more excited to now share the behind-the scenes of this very personal event in my life, my wedding, with that family of viewers.”

The five-part series will premiere on Sunday, September 19 at 10:30pm EST/PST

This is hilarious, because people talked so much ish about Lala and Carmelo’s “eternal engagement” but if they’d actually gotten married when she first got engaged, VH1 probably would have never picked up this sh*t. It definitely worked in her favor in the long run because La La’s long engagement gave her plenty of time to make famous friends!
