Sad but it is true. Funny but my family is from the Carribbeans and my biggest shame for black americans is they are the most easily coercerd race. You see these black people all white washed putting on a circus show for these crackers which they think are laughing with them. It’s not about being racist but it’s about knowing that we are stronger together than apart. Their biggest fear is US coming together and stopping the violence, getting and education, and helping each other. As badly as I wish this would happen the minds of black americans has been tarnished into believing we are inferior and white is right which is a joke. Please white washed black people out there, understand if you don’t take care of your own you will never really get anywhere. BLACK IS BEAUTIFUL AND I AM BLACK AND PROUD!

  • AFRICAN "AMERICAN"

    YALL FUNNY

  • AFRICAN "AMERICAN"

we’re the most easily betrayed u say, but we live better than any other blacks on this planet if we handle our biz and stop crying so much. And ur proud to b black but your name is ASIA…STUPID

  • AFRICAN "AMERICAN"

U PEOPLE NEED TO TAKE A GOOD LOOK AROUND THE WORLD, NOT JUST AMERICA AND C HOW PEOPLE R LIVING..WE HAVE IT THE BEST RIGHT HERE, LIFE IS NOT PRETTY BUT WE HAVE COME A LONG WAY, AND U FOOLS AIM 2 TAKE US BACKWARDS..SHUT UR MOUTH WITH RACIST TALK AND LEARN SOMETHING AND ACCOMPLISH UR GOALS N LIFE AND GET PAID LIKE ME. DONT B 1 OF THE CRY BABIES..NOW THAT IZ WHAT MAKES US SOUND SO WEAK IZ WHEN WE CRY CRY CRY AND STAY STAGNATED..DO SOMETHING!! BECAUSE N AMERICA WE HAVE ACTION AT MUCH MORE OF A GOOD LIFE THAN WE WOULD HAVE N AFRICA! AND THATS WHATS REALLY REAL! B REAL PEOPLE, B REAL.

you see! that is evidence of how we are so messed up as a people. I bet you didn’t know that before we called our self “African” we were known as Asian. Africa was named after a white man that just recently “discovered” it(with black people already there). but i guess you didn’t know that. Well maybe you should keep quiet and and look ignorant instead of opening your mouth and removing all doubt.

  • malik

    @ Dilla

    I second that motion.

  • DescentOfASlave

African American- U sound very American…White American

@Dilla- you are saying one thing and then another….when using the word We it means more than one…us as a people. many negroes today don’t want to the responsibility many africans took (that were brought to this country) for each other.

It was written that we will destroy Ourselves and it shall come to past! I just know I don’t plan to die making a contribution.

I love how people say we don’t have to care for each other. But no one will open their mouth and say that out loud that is Asian or Latino or otherwise only many of us feel that way….Why is that? that’s what you need to ask yourself, search for yourself for that answer.

Dilla- I have a problem with a white women following me through a store, and when I look to my left the white bish stealing her a.s.s. off. I don’t know about you the white man don’t owe me shish but I demand respect. It’s a shame the way black people excuse m.a.s.s.a. behavior. Let me tell you something I have a problem being mistreated. I have a problem with jews only releasing music that is hazardous to our kids. for example Rick Ross big Meech. What you don’t know, nothing is done without reason. Sorry for the mispelled words in my previous post but feel what I am saying. I want my respect just like the next person. If I give it I should get it not turn my cheeck because he is white

  • Asia

@ Candy thankyou for making that point. As for @African American if you are going to respond to my post then atleast read it, comprehend it, and then do not put words in my mouth. The point is “WE HAVE TO TAKE CARE OF OUR OWN FIRST!!!!!” Yes my name is Asia and you are ridiculous for even mentioning that because it is just a NAME. No one was making refrence to how blacks live in other country’s, I was implying that here in America if we do not take a stand for each other than we will alway’s be behind. Yes there are a lot of successful black people out there and I love it. The saying goes “IT TAKES A VILLAGE TO RAISE A CHILD.” It does not make you a bad parent or person but we ALL need a little bit of help. Nowadays people care less and less about each other and it should not be that way….everyday life being influenced by “hiphop”. But here in America black people need to hold each others hand first….something that white people are dead scared of. Look at Asians they come here set up businesses, employ each other and floursh as a community. All I am saying is if we did that african americaans/carribbean their would be no stopping us. We all have an onligation to take care of ourselves but when we get there it does not hurt to reach down any take care of your own. Like I said I am black and proud and I love my people regardless I just wish we stood behind each other more.

  • Asia

@African American…..oh yeah and I am def not a cry baby. It’s just whenever we talk about unity it just seems llike some black people have a problem with that….I have a good job and working towards my degree. My passion is seeing other black woman do better for themselves in life. It sickens me to see two black woman or people digrace themselves in front of other races…it’s gotta stop we have to stop..I would appreciate it if you are going to respond to my post that you do not refer to me as “stupid” because that I am far from and I know that you are too>Peace sista

  • malik

I’d like to know if anyone is capable of rebutting an point without regarding white people as crackers?

I mean I make jokes all the time and I am above no one, but how are you going to accuse whites of being racist by making racist rants??? Think black people. Think.

  • DescentofASlave

Why would white people being called crackers bother you? LOL

  • descentofaslave

@Malik…people shouldn’t get a pass to discriminate against us either..my brother.

Like I said before black people have the highest unemployment rate and we are a fraction of the population…you explain it.

please don’t give me that lazy stuff…that is generalizing…there are plenty of black people who may not have your education level but would like to work to feed their kids or self as well. You can’t tell people to take advantage of opputunities where there is none. you can’t tell people to stay out of trouble when they need to eat. These is why we need to keep conversations on these blogs about entertainment…because our issues are bigger than people jumpin on here actin righteous! and like live is a bed of roses and free of ills. That is a bold face lie! my brother…what else you got for your people besides criticism. What young brother are you mentoring? what young mother are you informing of education oppurtunites and help in your city? that’s what I thought.

  • malik

I don’t condone free passes on anyone’s account. I never implied such.
And I am so sorry that you don’t want to hear it but our culture has become very lazy when it comes to education, or any kind of self enrichment if it isn’t an immediate self gratification.

This the problem in the black community! It’s that outlook that you have. No way out. Not everyone is able.. But ask yourself..just how many out our entire culture is really so far deep that they should just give up? You don’t have to be rich to have “made it”. You just need to kick your own a s s and make moves!

History has caused us to be behind the power curve. YES.. Now we have to take initiative to correct the gap. Stop with the lame excuses! Discrimination isn’t going anywhere! There will always be someone or some people ready to crush your hopes and dreams..But what are YOU going to do about it?

Look at the numbers! Our focus isn’t on education! It’s on breeding NBA players, and NFL players, or simple rappers! Why? Because that’s our way out.. Comparatively within minority groups, blacks are lagging behind, and it’s a slap in the face as far as I’m concerned.

To answer your question, I have done and continue to aid in my community. The problem, isn’t self-righteousness. The problem is black folk selling themselves short. Proving to society and ourselves, that we are capable of being better than what the Nation of Islam preaches. Hate and bigotry begets hate and bigotry.

I read these comments and i am amazed at how some African Americans can resist the idea of other African Americans comming togeather and taking control of their own economy. its almost as if they pretend to not be aware of the economic vacancies in African American communitys and there are sometimes caps on how far we can climb up some corperate ladders. Wow. God bless their hearts though.
….I just have a funny feeling that those same people would quickly degrade another African American infront of another race to make themselves look unbiased but would embrasse another race to appear equal.

I like C’s comment. Even family members can play that role where they are so nice to others but clown on their own blood. The excuse is “having higher expectations on the one’s you love”. Anyhoo, as a culture we don’t take advantage of our opportunities, (based upon freedom, civil rights, and living in US) it hurts to think we could be left behind, that our not coming together would destroy OUR culture. What cultures wholly get along? Y’all know white people are not unified. Seen how Latinos are fighting (today)?

The truth is that discrimination exists, it can rip a person’s being (for however long), and folks who have never had it can use their experience as justification for another’s “weakness”. The bad news: I’m not perfect. The good news: Neither is anyone else.

  • AFRICAN "AMERICAN"

Asia sry 4 coming on so strong, and excuse me 4 saying stupid…I LOVE U GIRL..i just get mad because i was hearing all this cry baby hate growing up, but no one ever taught me how to get paid and have a better life, just hate and cry..and now that i’ve been places and seen things in other countries it just doesnt seem so bad here..like i said, people r living bad across this world and we do have it good, but i know, it could b better..stay strong my people and at least try b4 u give up..most negative black people dont even try..

  • James

Ask Farrakhan why he had Malcolm X killed. Then maybe, nahhh I would never listen to someone that preaches hate.

  • Brainwashed by Tom Burrell

    C & Wildcherry: I agree.

“Nobody else would put everybody else above him but the Negro. No one likes to place himself below everybody else but the Negro.”

    Malcolm X

It’s a shame that this still applies more than ever today.

  • Pretty-n-Pink

It boggles my mind that we are the only group of people that are willingly ready to forget our past. I refuse to be one of those people that said “it happened” so long. Looking at other communitites nobody forgets what happens and nobody dare utters those words we as Black people living in America willing choose to do. I am sick and tired of us saying we have all the opportunity in the world when we don’t, but nobody asks why they still determine how to fill the prison system based off of the 4th grade reading scores of Black boys. How in present day countless Black men and women are brutalized by police, but the lives are these people aren’t deemed worthy to be placed in the media. I am tired of being the only “representative” in the office or the face of the university, but people like to scream we have so much more opportunity. Yes there are problems that we as a people need to work on, but I will be damned to forget the past and the continued injustices we face today!

Are you serious? Just cause some of you want to keep you position in the whiteman’s world don’t hate the minister for continuing the teaching of the most honorable Elijah Muhammad. Our fight for freedom, justice and equality has not ended.

And about ask the minister why he killed Malcolm, bring your proof…. Sorry there is none.
