Ciara On “Paper”: My Ultimate Goal Is To Be Labeled As An Icon… A Legend!!!

- By Bossip Staff

Ciara breaksdown her new album and career goals in the upcoming issue of Paper Magazine. We would say that Ciara is just about as delusional as Cassie when it comes to her music But… There actually might be some light at the end of the tunnel for Ciara:

PM: What’s the best and worst part of being famous?

Ciara: The best part is being able to travel everywhere, being able to reach and touch millions of people — that’s really cool. Cool gifts are cool. The worst part? It would have to be maybe just like… at this point, I don’t know. I had a worst part a while ago sacrificing time with family. But at this point in my career, it’s all good.

PM: Do you have a style icon?

Ciara: Honestly, I used to always try to create one. I don’t think I really have one. But someone’s fashion that I’ve loved over the years is Jennifer Lopez. I think she’s been very consistent and has done such a great job when it comes to fashion. But I get inspired by the everyday girl that’s fly. When I see a fly girl, I think, “That’s hot.” I’m inspired by that.

PM: What are some of your guilty pleasures?

Ciara: I do love searching the Internet. I like looking at fun videos on YouTube, surfing some of the sites. Even when I do go on the gossip sites, I’m not really into reading comments unless the headline is good stuff then sometimes I’ll look. But I like looking at the photos, and just like looking at media in general. You know what I was watching last night? I love Forensic Files. I love that they show how they solve murder mysteries.

PM: What is your ultimate goal as a musician?

Ciara: My ultimate goal for myself as an artist is to be known as an icon, a legend. I do hope to be very wealthy. Beyond just my career, I hope to create a legacy for my family that’s never been created before. And to be an icon, to be a legend one day. Tons of Grammy’s would be great one day. I hope to travel around the world and to meet every possible fan I can meet around the world. I would love to be an icon that’s so amazing and so strong that one day people can be like, “You can be the next Ciara.”

Icon… Legend… Janet Jackson Status???

    • musicfan

Her ultimate goal as a musician…not overall ultimate goal.

Anyways she should just give up.

  • No way!!!

That takes hard work, dedication, giving your life up basically.. dont think so ciara..Michael Jackson, Tina Turner, just to name two

  • I Am Legend (Allergic To Darkies)

How about eating before you starve to death you to damn skinny..she gonna look like them somalian kids real soon wit flies buzzin round her head

  • Sabrina The Teenage Bytch

Ciara was well on her way to becoming an Icon, Her dancing Ability set her apart from other artist in the music industry.

However her “icon status” has faded away into obscurity. She Turned into a hollywood egotistical snot because she made a choice to become friends with kim SL_Trashian.

ciara doesn’t talk the same, and she doesn’t act the same. Her fans have noticed this and no one cares for her anymore. She is going to be the next Ashanti, Started off great but fell quickly because they lost control over their careers.

    wont happen get another goal

When Ur Album Dnt Flop & U Learn To Sing Then Probably You’ll Get Acknowledgement.. *Kanye Shrug.. #ImJustSayin..!

  • Get Real

She’s delusional. So far Ciara does not have one hit song that would put her in an icon status. She need to focus on putting out some decent music. Her last cd was straight garbage. Right now Ciara is on track to be where Lisa Lisa was 20yrs later. A bunch of decent dance tunes but not a big enough audience to tour outside night clubs.

  • zzzzzzzzzzzz

somebody is lying to this child. Does she really know what it takes to become an Icon or Legend? who ever is filing her head with this delusional dream, needs a foot in their a**. As far as her dancing everyone raves about, you can go to any strip joint and she those moves, and the girls there do it better then her. Hey, but dreams do come true….lol…sometimes. Ciara go to college and get some sort of career to fall back on when this one ends, unless you find yourself a wealthy man.

  • tone

How about you set up to get a hit record. That’s only way to reach legend status. I think Ciara is more in love w/ the fame than the artistry.

  • kimona

she needs a huge H0E SIT DOWN!

  • ImJustSayin

She needs to work on her chops if she wants to be icon status. Lack of vocals doesn’t fly anymore. This ain’t the 80’s

  • WTF?!

You being an Icon or Legend is NOT gonna happen Ci-error. In fact your 15 minutes is almost up.

  • Kristina

LMAO@ these comments. Come on ya’ll, have a little faith in the girl. lol

    You go Gurrrl!
    Dream Big, Aim High!

  • bbu

Poor ciara, she shouldn’t have become so hollyweird thinking she’s the best. She should what beyonce did go to another country and record some records. That new over sexed look I’m not feeling.

She should aim at being a professional blog poster. I heard rumors people making huge money sitting on blogs talking about celebs that are more successful than them.

    That’s a career. Professional hater. Starting Salary = $0

  • -Gräfenberg Spot Expert-

Either we aren’t reading the same interview excerpt or the pessimism on this site is outrageous. I don’t see anything Ciara said that can be far-fetched or offensive. It sounds like she just has a goal of being ultimately an icon, apparently not just within her music career. She’s a singer, model, actress and dancer so what’s wrong with aiming high with all the aspiration she has?

Do I believe she will become a REAL icon?
No (at least not outside of dancing) but an extremely high goal is better than none.

  • nite stick

I cannot believe you guys are blaming Ciara on this one. About a year ago everyone was putting her on the same level as Beyonce, I guess she starting believing in the blogs. If Bey Bey never sings a note again Ciara still will never be on her level.

  • daahlingnikki

  • Bub

no one was putting ciara in the same field as beyonce ciara cant sing every ablum she changes who she is she shouldve stuck with a formula that worked Jazzy PHa she dogged him and left him went 2 hollywood and lost herself she ran around trying 2 live a high life she couldnt afford so icon or legend nope go back 2 the drawing board think again

  • ?

lol @ some of these comments. i agree with most of them Ciara is a cut girl but she is like Rihanna cannot sing that well. Rihanna has hit records Ciara does not. iara seriously needs vocal training she sounds like a drowning cat when she attempts to sing. lol Forget about being an icon/legend you have to have mad talent and superstardom. It will not happen for Ciara nor the marginally talented Rihanna or Keri Hilson either for that matter. Sorry!

  • Royal Chocolate

What?! C, are your serious?! You can’t sing, you have no talent…

Just keep doing what you’re doing….looking cute and dancing your butt off.

The truth is, you’ll NEVER, EVER be an icon or a legend unless you come up with something new. And since you have no talent or creativity, it’s highly unlikely.
