You’d think anyone attending a private university and living in a $3000-a-month apartment would have no reason to dabble in drug sales, right?
Pace University student Max Moreno thought hustling weed was just the extracurricular activity he needed as he wrapped up his last year of college. Unfortunately, he paid a dear price for his lack of judgement.
A pot-peddling Pace University student was gunned down in his luxury off-campus apartment yesterday by two thugs who burst in following a drug deal.
The assassins took 21-year-old Max Moreno to his bedroom and coldly shot him in the forehead after he refused to give them money. They then left with a mysterious locked box, police said.
Police are investigating whether Moreno, a small-time pot dealer, was set up by another couple, a man and woman who have yet to be found.
After the couple left, the assassins burst in and executed him.
The NYPD said it got a call about gunfire around midnight on the 37th floor of the 51-story tower, where one-bedroom apartments start at $2,985 a month.
Moreno had no criminal record, but people who knew him said he dealt drugs.
SMH. Just goes to show you: it all catches up with you eventually. R.I.P.
