Should parents of alleged gang members be required to attend mandatory parenting classes?
Initially, the California law, which gives judges the option of sending parents back to school for training when their kids are convicted of gang-related crimes for the first time, sounds like a noble effort. But will this measure actually work to reduce gang-activity or are we just placing a band-aid over the community’s wound, which probably is in needs of stitches?
