Stop The Violence: Former NBA-er Nick Van Exel’s Son Confesses To Cold-Blooded Christmas Murking

- By Bossip Staff

His daddy was a NBA sharp-shooter, and he’s just a shooter, the apple fell REAL far from his tree…

Nickey Van Exel, son of former Dallas Mavericks player Nick Van Exel, was arrested Wednesday night in connection with a recent murder.

Bradley Bassey Eyo was found shot to death near Lake Ray Hubbard the day after Christmas. Investigators determined he was murdered at a Garland home in the 6900 block of George Brown Drive and his body later dumped at the lake, less than a mile away.

Police said 20-year-old Nickey Van Exel turned himself in Wednesday and confessed to the crime. He’s a neighbor of the victim.

He is being held at the Lew Sterrett Justice Center on $1 million bond.

The senior Van Exel played for the Mavericks from 2001-2003. He finished his NBA career with the San Antonio Spurs in 2006.

Lotta confessing goin on lately, hope these cats get the redemption their looking for because where they’re going they will certainly need it.

Whenever someone turns themselves in SHORTLY after a heinous crime, that person is ACTUALLY a decent human being, whose conscience killed them, thus turning themselves in. He obviously got into something that went bad. Dumping the body was his fear, but his conscience made him fess up. RIP to the victim. And I really hope this young man gets some type of help while in prison. But who am I kidding.

Wow. I hope no one in yalls families ever does anything even REMOTELY questionable the way yall jump on Blackfolk on here like this is exterrestial behavior. “That chick lookss like a hoodrat, Dude is a piece of trash” you say….. Maaaaan, the folks who run this country must LOVE coming on here and must LOVE yall when they read just how thorough their Manchurian Candidate style implant/brainwash job is in you that yall have nothing but utter contempt and loathing for your own people and see nothing as a system. It’s unreal. I tell you, yall are some scary folks, taking that powdered KoolAid straight to the head.. Don’t even want no water. Smh

  • if anything be noble

Yall jump on this like it is — (typo) — *extraterrestial* behavior… Like these folk are ET from another world. Divide and conquer. Divide and conquer. Make Blackfolk see Blackfolk as “other” and hide the fact that the game is at work. They got you hook, line and sinker if you believe that mess. Sad.

And to the writer(s) of these articles—- when you put information out here, would you please first tell us the basic who/what/when/where/hows of journalism? “He was murdered at a Garland home.” Chile, where is a “Garland home?” Is that a town? Where is it? What is it? That means nothing to us. And you give us the block like we live there. Did yall pull this from their local Garland paper because surely you don’t expect us to know where no 6900 block of George Brown Drive is. “Houston area” tells us something. We only learned this had Texas/Houston/TSU connections from the comments because, reading this article, I had no clue where this was. Thank you.

    • MacMoon

      Garland is by Dallas

@if anything be noble…thanks for all your comments, you are dead on and I was thinking the same exact thing while reading that horrible description of where this sad incident took place.

Didn’t he go to school in Mesquite? I could’ve sworn he went to one of my schools along with Michael Ervins daughter. Were all the same age. So sad to here of one life ended and another thrown away at such young ages.
