2nd Mega Millions Lottery Winner Stays Low-Key Until She Counts Her Stizzacks

- By Bossip Staff

The 2nd winner of the $380 million Mega Millions Lottery has been identified, but she’s not trying be all at the press conference. We can’t even blame homegirl either. Who wants to be answering questions and putting your situation on blast?!?!

A woman from northern Idaho is the winner of the other half of the $380 million Mega Millions lottery jackpot, officials announced Wednesday.

The winner was identified as Holly Lahti but she did not appear at the news conference and officials said she had requested privacy. Neither her age nor hometown were provided.

She had bought the ticket at a store in Post Falls, Idaho.

“She’s requested that the media respect her privacy and not attempt to contact her until she’s prepared to speak to you,” Lottery Director Jeff Anderson said at a news conference.

He referred to Lahti as a “delightful young lady” and said he tried to persuade her to go public because there are “a lot of curious people out there.” But he said she has a lot to get in order first.

“We expect she’ll be coming forward shortly,” Anderson said.

Don’t hold ya breath holmes. If she knows what good for her she’ll cash that check and skip town!

Damn that’s messed up the Lottery officials outed this woman by giving the media her name. By broadcasting her name nationwide now every one in her town/city obviously gonna know who it is be all up in her business. Especially with a name like Holly Lahti, which is not a common name by any means.

Shoot, If I were her I’d change it if I had too….

  • Who Got Dat Strillah?

I don’t blame her. Don’t even show yourself until you see all those zeros and commas in your bank account, babydoll. Move from wherever you live and get a mansion in a remote location or exclusive neighborhood where nobody you know can find you. Then meet the press wearing a fake mustache. That’s how you do that. Keep the haters and false relatives off your trail.

  • if anything be noble

It’s for fairness and protection. They have to give the name… the city and state, too. They can’t just say “Joe Johnson” won and be done. They have to say Joe Johnson from Wichita, KS won just so you know it’s a real, live, traceable person who won and not the lottery (government) just taking your money while running a scam and setting up a fake, government-related person who took all your loot. (But they do be encouraging the winners to put themselves out there. That’s a ploy so we see ‘normal’ people win, think if he can win it, by golly, why not me, and buy more tickets.)

  • Whaaaat??

I think its a requirement to publish your name. The only way to get away with it is to set up a private/blind trust and say it belongs to the trust. They will not be able to publish your personal information.

    • Delight23

Exactly. That would be the best bet along with TWO attorneys who specialize in lottery winnings. Under a blind trust the attorney has power of control. You should have attorney #2 review the trust as drawn up with attorney #1 just to ensure you understand just how much power is being given.

Some states actually DO NOT allow the winnings to be claimed under a blind trust. 😯

Get the money, setup a trust for those babies, and leave the old town. She has no idea of what kind of bottom feeders are about to start approaching her.
